The Japa 505 combines ease of use, safety, and efficiency for professional production of high-quality firewood from logs up to 50 cm in diameter. An intelligent hydraulic system automatically optimizes machine performance. The Japa 505 is available in two equipment variants: Japa 505 and Japa 505 Pro. Users can choose between a 15 kW electric motor, a tractor PTO, or a combination of both as the power source, making work even more flexible.
“The Japa 505 fulfills our customers’ wishes by offering the largest maximum log diameter of 50 cm in the Japa product range. The machine was developed entirely based on customer needs, including the electric chain lubrication pump, a sought-after feature for sawing large and hard logs. This system pumps oil continuously throughout the sawing process, instead of just providing a pulse, ensuring better chain lubrication and a longer lifespan even under demanding conditions,” explains Ville Kairus, Aftermarket Manager and co-developer of the Japa 505.
As usual, the Japa 505 also offers easy access to productivity data. Via the control panel display, the user can make settings and monitor the machine's utilization rate, such as operating hours, firewood quantities, and maintenance needs. This helps in better planning of work and maintenance, and extends the machine's lifespan and reliability.
Japa 505 – Key new features developed based on customer requests
Perfect Cut – Precise log lengths, electric chain lubrication pump, one-button operation, and hydraulic chain tensioner
The innovative Perfect Cut sawing system enables precise and smooth cuts. A hydraulically retracting log stop ensures optimal length precision of the logs and prevents wood from getting jammed between the stop plate and the bar guide during and after sawing. The cut is conveniently made with just one button press, by holding the button down throughout the sawing process. Lubrication is now done via an electric chain lubrication pump instead of a hydraulic pump, ensuring sufficient lubrication even with large and hard logs and extending the chain's lifespan. Additionally, the hydraulic chain tensioner is now included as standard and keeps the chain optimally tensioned at all times, ensuring even and safe cuts.
Advanced fault diagnosis
The Japa 505 is equipped with several sensors that monitor and control machine functions in real time. Pressure sensors facilitate fault diagnosis, allowing the user to quickly resolve potential problems and keep the machine operational.
Increased splitting speed
Thanks to the new splitting hydraulics, splitting operations are now even faster, while the maximum log thickness has also been increased.
Joystick-controlled wood press
The hydraulic wood press is now controlled via a joystick button instead of a separate lever, improving workflows and ergonomics.
Stop and reverse function for the conveyor belt
The discharge conveyor can be stopped or reversed, improving control over the machine and allowing potential problems to be resolved directly via the control panel without manually removing the firewood.
